I bought this costume for a 3 year old. It was shipped within 2 days of purchase and arrived within the week (by USPS, tracking # was provided), which was pretty fast. The child was very excited and wore the costume right out of the box. It fit her just right, with some room in the legs. This child was a bit taller for her age, so I guess the vendor's description of the costume being made for average 4-5 year olds is appropriate. The eye openings on the mask was a bit small, so I had to cut it open more on the nasal side.
We've had it for 4 days now and the kid has been wearing it everyday. The costume is made of a thin, flimsy material, kind of translucent if you hold it up to the light. But luckily it has not torn yet. The black markings of spider webs and the spider on the chest came off after one wash, so I guess it's printed with some kind of water soluble ink. (We had to wash it because the kid wore it to play in the sand box and got all muddy.) Even though the...
My nephew loves it.
My 4-yr-old nephew wears it all the time. He loves it! It's very thin, so I don't expect it to be passed down to his grandkids or anything. (; But anytime he's home he's wearing it, so we're happy.
