I have a niece in Burma and, for whatever reason, she's dreamed of having a mermaid costume. I had her go online, and she selected this one. So far, she's been very happy with it.
The dress is pretty much as pictured on Amazon.com, without the green boa. It does come with that pink crown (it's made of foam). That crown was very important for my niece.
My one warning with this dress is that it does run big and is pretty tall. I had heard other reviewers make that comment, but even so I was surprised. My niece is a very tall 5-year-old, and so we got her the size she normally wears, but even that is a bit big for her. My daughter liked this costume very much. However, the staples that hold the elastic in the crown tore right through the foam (the crown is foam) on one side while she was trying it on. I was able to staple on a new elastic strip that was a little longer. The small chunk of the crown that was missing wasn't very noticable. This dress seemed to be well made but was way too big for my 3yo daughter. She wears a size 5 and it was all the way to the floor on her. My 6 yo wears a 6/7 and it was too long on her too. I bought the 4-6 size. Could easily be shortened but she chose something else instead.Cute

Adorable costume! Although, my daughter was swimming in it! Unfortunatly, it ran larger than the normal size. I purchased this item for my daughter to wear for one Girl Scout event so we tucked and pinned it in a few places.
