What we liked:
1. Very cute with fun pirate details
2. Easy to put on with velco in the back
3. Came in a garment bag to keep all the pieces together
4. Sizing was just right
What we didn't like:
1. Fabric was itchy! Luckily it was cold so my daughter wore a thermal shirt and leggings under the costume.
2. One of the skull details on the skirt started falling off soon after the first wear. Nothing a little hot glue couldn't fix but it was annoying.
3. Head scarf is a satin-like material and slid right off her head. Even bobby pins wouldn't keep it on. She ended up not wearing it.
It's a cute costume and would purchase again.

Guys, I would not recommend this costume, nor would I recommend this seller, "Brands on Sale", who does not do returns on costumes (issue for me since you don't quite know what you are getting in any case with clothing in general, ex: size or quality).
We just got it and are very disappointed. It is terribly hard and scratchy on the inside. The costumes interior is nearly the texture of the plastic side of Velcro (the toothy side) (enough that my munchkins hair catches in it and her skin is scratched). It is also a very "large" small (course I have read others having the opposite problem with size...probably only depends which end of 6-8 you are looking at~we are on the youngest side, actually 5 and wanted to give her plenty of growing room).
I also recommend checking this seller's return policies before purchasing to make sure you are ok with them. They nearly do not accept returns (really have no idea what they do accept returns on...guess if the item is defect...Puppy-perfect

Purchased for my daughter's 5th birthday as a special dress-up prop for the Birthday Girl! She was very excited that she was made special as the guest of honor and that while she enjoying the party with her friends, she had an extra touch of "special" on her day.
I would say that this item is best suited for a child aged 7-10 as it is BIG. My daugther is an average sized 5 year old and this was very big on her. Also, the headband is a waste of money, really unattractive and not sure at all the purpose of the headband.
Would the description provided a better picture of the headband, I probably would have gone with a nicer robe for the same amount that I spent on this set OR would have bought the robe on it's own for less $$$.

I got this for Halloween for my daughter who is a huge Tinkerbell fan! I bought a size 4-6x thinking it would be too big (she's 3 months shy of 3 years old, 29 lbs and about 32 inches tall). I would say this costume is running small because she's wearing a 3T now and this fit her pretty good. It was a little loose on the top but once the wings are attached you don't notice. The material of the costume itself is very durable and pretty. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the wings. They are like a strong plastic and the glitter designs are in the inside of the wings so if she's looking at u they show, but if her back is too you it's just plastic. My son was "Ramsey the sheep" in a recent church Christmas play. He wore this over a long sleeved white top and white long pants. My son is very tall and lanky for his age. I usually make my kids' costumes, but the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. My daughter, a gymnast, said she wanted to be a Ninja for Halloween and she wanted me to buy the costume. I thought it was such a great idea I ordered right away. The costume was the typical cheap costume fabric and had that funny costume smell. The mask was pathetic. She wouldn't wear either and we made her a nerd instead. Oh well, I actually think it would have looked pretty good and fit well for a one-night-stand.* We ordered fans and Chinese shoes to complete the outfit from other companies that were of MUCH higher quality and MUCH more reasonably priced. It's just a shame this was a waste. We learned a lesson about store bought costumes.

The maribou was easy to take off of the hem so I could shorten it. I also added elastic inside at the waist to bring the crotch up a bit. I just made a casing out of the seam that was there already and ran some elasric through it. If she wants to wear it again next year it won't be hard to reverse the changes I made. I heard about this as "Shapelock" and for whatever reason, the company decided to rename it "Friendly Plastic"
It's Polycaprolactone, Wikipedia has a great entry on it.
The pellets melt in 150F-160F water. This is hot enough to scald you but not cause a serious burn. I was afraid this would mean that kids wouldn't be able to play with it but in fact they can - within a minute or two of coming out of the hot water bath this stuff cools down enough that it's just warm. However it still remains pliable enough for kids to have a lot of fun.
When it does finally cool completely it's hard. I was used to Fimo/Sculpey which is really very weak. This stuff is really strong. Strong enough that I have yet to break a part which was fully cooled. I'd say it's as structural as the plastic in most kid's toys and actually a bit tougher (resistant to cracking) I believe there must be some crystallization going on. I LOVE these little dresses. I'm so thankful they come in larger sizes too, unlike the "Disney" versions often sold at Target, Kmart, etc. ... These are actually ground length on my 4.5 year old who had outgrown the previous size (actually it was 2 sizes smaller than these, but it stretched and kept fitting her, it just got shorter and shorter). She wanted to look like the princesses in her storybooks who had gowns down to their ankles, and these 3 dresses fit the bill.
She wears a 5 at Gymboree, and 5/6 at Target in regular clothes, and I find these Large 5-7 are a bit big on her, but not too big to play in and enjoy. She's not tripping over them by any means, they just seem slightly loser on her upper body, but then again, I now know that these costumes really will stretch to fit her as she keeps on growing.

I bought this for my daughter who is obsessed with "Friendship is Magic". It lasted from the week before Halloween through mid-November, which is really good for a Halloween costume.
Just a few notes for potential buyers:
In the photo on Amazon, the girl is wearing the mask on the top of her head for a reason - there are no eyeholes.
Also the mask is very brittle, and the velcro that holds the tail isn't great - which is why I gave it 4/5 for durability.
And finally, this isn't "Friendship is Magic" rainbow dash - it is "classic". For that reason alone it is 20% less awesome, so I only gave it 4/5 total.Very cute and comfy!

This was the cutest costume I found, and it looked adorable on my daughter. The detachable wings are a plus because you can remove them if you need to put your child in a car seat for travel. The only downside I found is the antennas didn't have wire so they would flop down.My Kid love it

Beautiful dress!!!! My daughter loves it! Well made and fancy. Best part I only paid 7 bucks!!!!!! Glitter does get everywhere but it's a small price to pay living with a princess.Best Cinderella Dress ever!
