This costume was made well and seamed true to size. I had to make some alterations on it for my grand daughter because she was on the low side of the sizing. The maribou was easy to take off of the hem so I could shorten it. I also added elastic inside at the waist to bring the crotch up a bit. I just made a casing out of the seam that was there already and ran some elasric through it. If she wants to wear it again next year it won't be hard to reverse the changes I made. We had several fall festivals to attend prior to Halloween this year. After my daughter wore the costume twice it came apart. I had to sew it back together again so she could wear it for the last fall festival and Halloween night. She had numerous compliments and she loved the costume, but it obviously was only meant to be worn once. For $40 I was hoping to pass it down to my niece.Poor Service

The costume was reasonably priced but the construction was poor. The costume I ordered was a size four to six. I don't know how a four year old could wear it--the neckline is so loose even for a child that is a size six. Cute costume, relatively well made (for a Halloween costume anyway). Runs very wide. I got the Child 4-6 for my 6.5 year old daughter (who is average height and weight) and unless she wears a winter coat underneath it is way too wide around the waist and torso. This was one of those times that what arrived in the mail was pretty much what we saw and clicked on. I was happy, and my daughter had a great Halloween. A tan leotard is a good bet for a cold New England Halloween, and it looked just fine.

My daughter looks beautiful and costume fits well, only issue I have is that there is an ink stain on part of the dress, you cant see it bc of draping, she doens't want me to return it, but it is disappointing, if there was no stain, I would give a 5Great for my daughter.
I do recommend this costume. My daughter used it for a presenation at school and she loved it!

I actually returned this product. The "hoop" seemed to be made of some type of plastic. It could not be ironed, therefore it had lots of wrinkles due to the packaging. The overylay was tulle and had several dirty spots. The hat was flimsy. The dress and hat did not look like the picture at all! Everywhere we looked there were all these boy police costumes, or sexy adult costumes... but when we found this it was perfect for a little girl and all the other kids keep telling her she has the coolest costume! big hit! shipping was speedy as well. my only complaint was that i had to sew two buttons back on within 10 minutes of her putting it on, so i suggest just going ahead and reinforcing the stitching around all buttons before she wears it. not too tight or slinky- perfect for lil girls!Adorable costume with just enough "sass"
My step-daughter was very adamant about being a police office for Halloween. However, when we looked around in local stores there we no police costumes for girls, only boys. We did find one girl costume at a Halloween store which I did not allow her to buy due to it being too risque - very unsuitable for an 8 year old.
This costume was perfect! My step-daughter is tall and lanky so I was worried it would be too short but the dress fit her great. It was loose and the skirt was a couple of inches above her knees. The fabric was very cute and shimmery but thin.
Everything about this costume is great right down to the accessories.Perfect!

I bought this thinking it was cute...wrong. The thing came in the mail, and I can't sew, but I could nave made this...and better. Strings were EVERYWHERE from where the stitching wasn't properly sewn to the fabric. The straps across the shoulders CAME OFF when I tried it on my daughter. This thing basically fell apart; it is cheaply made.I am so upset I wasnted my money on this. She won't even be able to play dress up in it when Halloween is over. I bought this costume through Amazon but through a different vendor. It is a very cute design, but it is poorly made. There were frays all over the dress, part of the apron was a little torn where the seam should have been. I like that it had a built in layer of netting in the skirt for extra flounce, I just hope my niece doesn't find it too scratchy. There was a light stain on the apron and a darker one on the under skirt. This supposedly was brand new but I don't have the time to wait for a replacement with her school dance just 3 days away. It's made of polyester, so with it being squished in it's packaging, it is very wrinkled. I can only hope my clothes steamer can save it. I would not recommend anyone buying this costume due to it's poor quality.Save Your Money!
This dress looked so cute in the picture but when it arrived and I took it out of the package the bows started falling off this costume. It is very, very cheaply made. Save your money! I know have to pay for the return.... Not right or fair...Terrible experience
I ordered an Alice in Wonderland costume for my daughter's birthday party & I was sent sharpie paint pens instead! The picture of the item when I ordered it was of the costume, however after receiving the paint pens the picture changed to a photo of paint pens. But it was still listed as Child's Medium Alice Costume. I was completely disappointed & my daughter had no costume to wear for her Alice in Wonderland themed party. I ordered this for my daughter for Halloween, since she wanted to be a Vampire. She loved it, but I didn't. The material is EXTREMELY thin, almost see through...the gold lace up portion on the chest is very cheap and flimsy and broke in my hand when I tried to tie it for her. The hood part was so big she couldn't even wear it. We tried to pin it with a safety pin to make it smaller, but then the thing wouldn't stand up as in the picture. My daughter wears a size 4T in clothes, and this thing was HUGE on her....at least 5 inches too long. we had to put a belt on her and pull the dress up to keep her from tripping. She was happy with it and put it in her dress up clothes trunk..she'll continue to play with it, and that is fine. The quality of this was definitely not worth the price of it, but her being happy and continuing to play with it, is worth it.Vampira should get a royalty for this costume
It's flimsy and probably can't be re-used, but that's what you expect for this price-point. What's important is that it is exactly as described, it looks elegant, my daughter loved it, and it puts a classy touch on a genre that's traditionally rather tawdry and grotesquely done. We got compliments on this and we had fun.cheap gold lace

This costume is ADORABLE! We received tons of compliments on it and my 6 yr old was more than excited to wear this for Halloween! I found the quality to be excellent, we had no problems with rips or tears at all. We wore this 2 different days for trick or treating and that included in-and-out of the car numerous times without any problems. We wore the size Small (my 6 yr old is very tall but very skinny, around 48" tall and maybe 47 lbs) and it fit with room for a long sleeved turtle neck underneath. The tights are NOT included, so make sure you pick some up. The dress IS *SHORT*, so we wore black biker-style shorts underneath it, black tights, and had purple/black striped custom-made leg warmers over the tights. LOVE IT!!super cute
