I am not sure what the previous reviewer expected... but in comparison to other costumes we have bought (for 4 children over 8 + years) this one is pretty standard. My daughter loved it and so did we. We recieved so many compliments... this is a great Goldilocks costume. As for the quality... it may be a bit scratchy underneath, but I had my daughter wear some underclothes anyways (a white tee and tights). As for size, I feel like it was pretty close. The suit zips up in the back from the bottom or top, so its nice he can just have the mask off if he needs. My son feels and looks just like the real spiderman on the movies. Just recd costume. Pic shows Black and Orange but the costume I recd is Black and Purple! My daughter was very disappointed. She immediately said "No - orange". The description doesn't specify which color they will ship, so only order if the color doesn't matter to you.
The costume itself is ok. The 'real velvet' they refer to is the colored portion in the middle of the dress. The black part is the cheap somewhat stretchy fabric that Halloween costumes are usually made of. There is a matching hat with a little 'velvet' band around it. Not sewn into place, but that's ok. I was very disappointed with this costume. The overall quality was poor. The material is cheap and the sizing was very small. I purchased the size 4-6. My daughter is 4 years old. It barely covered her back side. The length would have been appropriate for the typical height of a 2 year old child. The costume was so bad, my daughter was unable to wear it for Halloween.Adorable
This is an adorable costume. Material is quite thin, and you can't tell it's velvet (or plush) in the picture, but it is. We ended up putting a tulle petticoat underneath to give it a little volume. I ordered this cape for my daughter who is always wanting me to tie towels/blankets/etc. around her neck so that she can be a superhero. I knew it would be a success and sure enough-she loves it. However, because of the satiny material, it picks easily and already looks like we've owned in for years (even though it has never left the interior of our home). In additional, the seams aren't sewn well and unravel very easily-I have made countless repairs on our sewing machine. The velcro closure at the neck is ideal, but again, even this started to pull lose after a few time's use. Needless to say it is a year later and well past time to order a new cape. However, this time we will opt for a cape made of a different material in hopes for longer durability.Daughter loves it!
She is a "super princess" with this cape. We bought one for the dog that sort of matches and the two of them run around the house together capes flying and making us laugh. Great product, made well and durable.Christmas Princesses

This dress just arrived and it's absolutely precious; unfortunately, it was too big so we have to send it back. No need for my daughter to fret, I've already ordered it a size smaller for her! I would like to add that the crown that comes with this dress DOES NOT match the one in the picture at all. You will not be pleased with it at all. Consider purchasing another crown in addition with the dress. I'd also like to add that the dress has a lot of glitter on it: that's something that's not mentioned in the description. I absolutely hate buying dresses (only reason WE DO NOT have Disney dresses) with glitter because it ends up all over the house; but, this dress is so pretty and made so well, I'm making an exception. Don't hesitate if you like what you see. :)

For the price I was expecting much better material on the bottom. I bought it for my 3 year old for Halloween and it was too long (she wears a size 3T). Before I had a chance to hem it we went to a Halloween event for an hour. Just from stepping on the front of it a few times the threads were coming loose and the material started to run. She was very comfortable in it and once it was hemmed we had a good night trick or treating. But I don't see the skirt lasting long at all. My plan is to sew some nicer material on the skirt once it starts looking really shabby...but for the price I paid, I don't think I should have to do that! The hair bow it came with is cute but it is white, just a heads up. I was expecting it to be red, like pictured with the other sizes of this dress. Cute costume and will serve its purpose for Halloween, but it has been way more trouble than it's worth. My daughter wears a size 3T, so I originally ordered the toddler size. It wouldn't even go over her torso. I ended up returning it and ordering the child's small which said it would fit size 6-8, and it fit great...except for the elastic in the sleeves which would even be too tight for my one-year-old's arm. My daughter is petite, so this is never an issue. I removed the elastic, turned up the sleeve, restitched, and put in an appropriate sized piece of elastic.Do NOT buy this costume.
We ordered this costume in a size medium. It lists the costume as "Toddler" in the title of the item, but then for sizing it lets you choose from Toddler, Small, or Medium. We chose Medium, and there was even a price increase reflected in the price. When the item showed up, it was NOT a Medium. It was a Toddler size (2-4, for kids ages 1-2). It was teeny tiny. I was totally annoyed that I specifically chose Medium from the menu and was sent a toddler size anyway. Now it is sold out on Amazon in the medium size, so I returned it and ordered from another vendor completely.
There are two different Strawberry Shortcake costumes. There is this one and then there is another version in which the child pictured is different and the dress cut is more straight than A-lined (like in this costume). This costume is made of a NON-STRETCHING material. There is absolutely NO give to it. Not only that, the material is very flimsy and cheap, so even the slightest tug at the seam...Runs small and Is cheaply made
I must agree with others on this. The costume runs very small and the material is cheap. I only bought it because my daughter didn't want to be anything other than strawberry shortcake. It can even double as a princess dress if worn without the hat and pants. The quality is good enough for playing dress up or Halloween. It even held up great after machine wash on delicate. I did think it ran slightly small, so I'm glad I ordered a size up.Awesome!

I have a 3.5 year old daughter who is completely obsessed with all things disney princess so I feel like I'm a princess dress expert! (we own most of them out there) she has recently begun to outgorw/ wear out her orinialy dresses (she recieved as gifts when whe was just todller) so I've been trying to update out collection. We live near Disneyland so she wears a princess dress each time we go and she dresses up nearly everyday at the house. WE own several of the park level dresses, some from the Disney store, some of the Target versions, and some of the older Disny versions before they decided to torture the parents with all the glitter! I decided to try some of the Little Adventures dressed just to see.
When I received the Cinderella dress, I returned it immediately without even trying on my daughter - it just looked really cheap and the colors were a littel off and my mom had just gotten the Disney version at a Disney store sale for $20. That dress looked so much nicer so I...Very Cute! We love it!
My daughter (3 yrs old) requested this for Halloween. She tried it on as soon as the postman delivered it and LOVES it! The skirt is a little thin so she will have to wear tights or leggings under it but I'm sure it will also be a dress-up toy after Halloween is over. Excellent costume for this age!Cute as can be

I got this for my daughter who loves to dress up. The size is truly for a 7-9 year old. My daughter is 5, but tall for her age. Nonetheless, this dress worked out perfect as it gave enough room for her and all I did was shorten the length of the dress by using safety pins to pin the dress up at the waist. It actually added fullness to the dress and would allow my daughter room to grow as I can easily unpin and lengthen the dress again. The fabric truly does appear to be machine washable, though I have not tested that out yet. It is soft, flowy, not too costumy like some of the other dresses you may see. Bought this for my 9 year old daughter for Halloween. It was super cute, she was so adorable! We were able to dress up the costume with a lot of different accessories. She lost the hat after the first time wearing it, so the second time we put in pony tails with one black and one white bow which I think made the outfit even cuter! My daughter loves snow white, so I think she'll be ecstatic when she opens this on her birthday, she's actually been trying to find a snow white dress to put on her baby doll. The dress seems to compare to most other doll clothing available as far as the "thinness" goes. My only issue is that I couldn't find anywhere in the description what size doll this dress was made for. When I received it, the tag says "fits most 18" dolls". Unfortunately I bought it for a 14" doll. So after she opens it, we will see if its too long, and if so I'll have to hem it up. Other than this issue, I'm very happy with my purchase.Snow white doll dress.
All in all this dress is really cute. It came very quickly. I think the fabric feels a little thin and flimsy, but it does look cute on the doll. I had couple of additional questions, so when I called at nite, I was surprized to have somebody answer on the second ring. The person patiently answered all of my questions and helped to order additional products. The "dress" portion of this costume is beautiful and very similar to the one I purchased for my daughter in Moscow. HOWEVER, the shirt shown in the picture is NOT included in this costume. Nothing in the description indicates that no shirt is included, and it would've been helpful to know that when ordering. Had the shirt been included, this would've been a 5 star item. Without the shirt and at almost $35, the costume and value are just "average." Very frustrated that it wasn't mentioned anywhere, as my daughter is wearing this in a multicultural parade at school tomorrow. I'm scrambling trying to find something for her to wear under the dress, and it certainly won't look anywhere close to authentic. I have 3 granddaughters (ages 4, 3 and 1) and a niece (age 2) and I bought these dresses for all of them. I have purchased approximately 12 dresses from this company of different designs. I bought 4 Belle dresses. All of the girls love this dress; in fact, I just got a picture from my sister with my niece wearing it saying, "Another day as Belle!" They have been work for dress-up, night gowns, and Halloween. They are much nicer than other dress-up clothes I have seen (and bought) and the price is better too. I highly recommend this product and this company.What you'd expect from a costume.
This is extremely thin - but on par with every other princess costume I've seen for the price. I got the crenelin slip to go underneath which is a must - really bell's out the dress like you see in the picture. It is cute to wear but for Halloween we wore a long sleeved shirt and pair of pants underneath. It was plenty big - but my daughter is small for her age. She loved wearing it and felt like a princess so I definitely recommend it. The skirt of the costume isn't quite as nice as it appears in the picture, but overall the quality is close to how it looks, which is pretty good for costumes. My daughter wore this all day for her fairy birthday party with no complaints about any issues. The velcro-on wings have held solidly so far. My daughter is tall and slender, needing a size 7 pants length and size 5 waist. The size 7/8-Medium costume fits her well; the torso is loose enough that a more typically weighted child would be fine in it as well.Adorable!
My 3 year old daughter wore this for halloween. She was adorable and now she wears it to play dress up. The shoulder straps are cheaply made. They velcrow on and they are too long. I had to pin them. The wings are perfect for Tinker Bell, but are a little heavy for the costume, so they ended up hanging low in the back. After a little running around, my daughter looked like a Tinker Bell who had been swatted with a fly swatter LOL. But she loved it just the same.Too cute costume.
Firstly this is a very cute costume, looks much cuter on than when it arrives in the box.
I ordered this as a back up for my 21 month old's Halloween costume. So glad I did, as this was the costume she ended up wearing! I thought being 3-4T it would be far too big, as she fit's 2T, it wasn't at all! it was a little loose on her but as she is fairly tall for her age the length was perfect, for a toddler. I safety pined the straps up a little so it did not hang down too low on her chest, and as it was a cool evening she wore a green long sleeve tee and khaki tights under the costume, so it fit a lot better than I had expected. Also it was super easy to get her in and out of it, a huge thumbs up!
I think that as it fits her so well though that the sizing may run a little small, it is closer to 3T than 4T, so be wary.
