The balls on the hood fell off of her friends costume about ten minutes after she put it on, without her pulling on them. The the boot covers were so big they barely stayed up and then the ties themselves broke off. Ok, it is really cute, but not made to last. Also, believe the other reviews; it is big! Not as in length, if your child is an average weight for her age, then chances are you will have to have these fixed to fit her. The fact that it is too loose and the material is cheap, make it impossible for the wings to stay put. I still did not have time to fix it, so the wings are hanging on the closet, but my daughter gets to dress up a bit and play in the yard. Another thing to be wary of, wash it by hand. It is fragile and I can see that if I put that in my washer it will destroy it. It just amazes me that Disney puts their name in things that are not well made, and not made to work properly. After all, the wings should be the most fun part of this dress and it has to stay out of the play (that's why 3 stars for fun only). I think they do these things because they have no competition. So they win and we consumers lose. I hate that.get out your sewing machine
Like other Disney dress-up costumes we've had, this one needs work...lots of it. The sizing is awful, so be prepared to do some alterations before your little princess can wear it. The costume runs a little small overall, tight around the tummy and pretty short, but due to the location of the velcro on the back, it gapes open and the wings are almost parallel to the floor when they are attached to the back. I had to remove all of the velcro and reattach it so the dress would close tighter at the top. Also, the shoulder straps are way too long for a 4 year-old; I had to shorten them by over an each so they would stay on my daughter's shoulders.
It's durability is yet to be confirmed, but if it follows previous Disney outfits, I'll keep my sewing machine out...lots of mending and repairing are expected, as it simply falls apart with wear.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she has worn it constantly since she opened it up. The hem has already torn completely off and there is a large hole in the side seam of the bodice. We've had lots of Disney Princess dresses - ranging from the cheap versions that come in the dress-up trunks (which are actually the best quality AND they are usually machine washable) to the more expensive straight-from-the-theme-park versions, and the more expensive dresses all fall apart. This one included. The Aurora dress I bought my daughter for halloween for $50 fell apart instantly and I had to sew it back together (ever tried to sew chiffon by hand?), so I was very careful to buy one that was a little big and that had less chiffon involved when I chose this dress. It's not like she's climbing tress in it. The problem with these dresses is that they are so bottom heavy. The construction of them is such that the bodice can't support the heavy skirt layers. And for little girls...Poor quality
My 3 year old received this from her aunt as a gift for her birthday 2 weeks ago, I'm not sure where it was purchased or for what price, but it's this same dress. It is a tad big on her (at 32 lbs and 39" tall). She has worn the dress maybe a maximum of 5 times, and at that has only worn it about 10-20 minutes each time. The hem has already started the shred, so much that I had to trim it so she doesn't trip on the large "loops" of shredded material. Where the bodice and skirt meet on the left side of the front has come apart. Very disappointed in the quality of this dress, which only validates why I personally will not by the name brand princess dresses.
That said, she is 3 and really just loves to wear the dress, rips, tears and all!Tangled dress

It's a nice costume, not too expensive, and the quality is not too bad, considering the price. But I would recommend researching the measurements online before deciding which size to choose. The recommendation in the listing is wrong - it probably does not fit most of the girls in this age group. The costume is very glitzy and spunky as expected -- it's no typical Little Bo Peep costume. Our little one was adorable and felt like a princess when she and her classmates marched in the parade. It's very thin, so you should put an under shirt on the child before putting on the custome. It is pretty, I'm sure my daughter will be able to wear it without complaining like she does with other costumes. My only complaint is that that material is a little on the thin side. It seems more like a nightgown than an actual costume. I'm overall pleased.so precious

Within 20 minutes of wearing this dress my daughter tore the seam of the top layer. The edge of the top layer has a serged finish, but that may have added to it being able to be torn off the dress. I'm guessing my daughter stepped on the dress or something as the length is right above her foot. So I took it to JoAnn's since we needed it for a trip to Disney in 4 days and they recommended gluing ribbon over the edge of the dress. That worked like a charm. My daughter wore the dress for 2 whole days at Disney world (walking, riding in their strollers, one day was a 16 hour day...). I came home and washed it and then she wore it for her birthday. We've had no problems since I made the hem modification and it withstood being washed very well. So, buy the dress but add the "folded over glued ribbon hem" and you should be fine.
By the way, the company I bought the dress from sent a replacement dress when I sent an email to let them know about the problem. I just didn't...A nice dress up costume
I have changed my views on this dress quite substantially. When we received it I thought it looked really trashy but it has held up really well and unlike the Disney ones - it does not have irritating seams. It actually is prettier than the disney ones because it is less glitzy.
My daughter wears it a lot and is in fact wearing it now. We have had it for a year and it is still going strong. I would definitely buy this again.
(This is in comparison to her Disney Deluxe Ariel costume which smells of fish (glue) and has very irritating/itchy seams inside the costume.)dress-up dress

Cute concept. Actual costume is better in person. Disappointed with sizing. Ordered a Large, but top was Medium. Too small for my daughter. But it was too close to Halloween to ship it back. We had to buy a camisole so she could wear the skirt. Spent more money and the effect wasn't the same. I wouldn't buy from this company again.My daughter does not want stop wearing this dress!

My daughter loved the costume the only issues I had is the hat is really big, her head is pretty small but it would fit my head. The pants were really long and had to be fixed so she could wear it. Other than that is it a nice costume for the money.Cute costume, daughter loves it!
The costume is cute, and the hat, especially is something she can't get over. She's getting more and more excited for Halloween, and can't wait to be Strawberry. She calls this version "the green one", and the Strawberry classic with the dress and the green and white striped tights "the pink one", so she's going to be Strawberry Shortcake the green one. I dunno, but she's happy, so I'm happy.
The leggings that came with the costume are little too long for her, she's almost 3 and maybe I got the wrong size. It's hard to tell because there was no sizing chart included in the listing, but she insisted on this one, so I took a chance. I think I could probably get her into some jeans and have the same effect so that's okay.
One thing that I was disappointed about was the hat, a foamy plastic material, had been smushed into itself for a long time, obviously, and had a recurring wrinkle in it where it had been flattened. Not like it matters much, she's going to outgrow...> Click to See Editorial Reviews
