I bought this costume from a local Halloween costume shop. I never took it out of the package before I bought it....MY MISTAKE. Although I like the pink/green stripe fabric used for the dress, it has some major flaws.
First, the sizing is way off. I bought a medium for my 8 year old daughter, because the package says "Medium 8-10, for 5-7 years old" (what's with that, anyway?) Well, it was way too wide for her, and the placket of the "V" collar went down way too much. I ended up using my sewing machine to take in 5/8 inch on each side seam and then hand stitched the placket closed about 2 1/2 inches.
Second, the cover of the package (and the photo you see on this ad) shows a pretty white satin bow above the skirt of the dress. This is not what is actually on the dress! On the dress is a 18 inch long strip of ribbed knit material that has been stitched closed (so it's double thickness) that you are supposed to tie into a bow. I tried it. Not only did it...

I got this for a costume box I made for my daughter. A little big but she will grow completly into it and its so cute.
VERY CUTE
A lot cuter in life than in picture and a lot cuter on my niece than on Shar pei LOL
