I bought this for my daughter for x-mas as she is a mermaid freak. She loves it. The only thing is it's too long. I ordered a small but I am going to have to somehow hem it. The length is more for an average 8 yr old and not a 5 yr old. It's a little expensive too for a childs costume. I splurged this once.

This is my niece's favorite costume. She sleeps in it. So, when the first one basically fell apart, I looked high and low and found it again. My niece is a very girly girl and loves fairy tales and princesses and this is perfect for her. The skirt is a little sheer (can be seen when backlit), but it fits loosely enough to wear a little slip underneath (my niece just wore tights with it). This is a great quality costume with gorgeous details.

let me start by saying, all comments aside, my daughter could not be happier with it. in my opinion though, costume was a little larger than i had expected...and the material was a little different than had been shown in the photo. Not sheer as shown. But all in all it was worth the money.
