My little girl has short, curly hair exactly like Annie's except it's brown. So we decided she should be Annie for Halloween. I ordered this dress and was not disappointed. It is well-made and the fabric is nice for a costume dress. Most costumes are made out of flimsy materials, but this is more substantial. The fabric is a little thin to wear as a REAL dress, of course, but it's still better quality than most costumes.
Looked great right out of the package after a little light ironing. I did iron it on the wrong side to preserve the color.
Wore it twice this Halloween season and looked great both times.
Update: Finally washed product. Was concerned red might bleed onto white collar but did not. Colorfast. Laundered beautifully. Did not put in dryer.
Could be Better
The quality of this dress was more of a Halloween costume than a dress. I purchased this for my daughter for her to wear for an Annie play, she will wear it for that but afterwards it will become just part of her dress up play clothes. The material is thin so I will have to figure out what to put under it.
Annie dress-up
This was the best Annie dress I was able to find on the internet. It is of decent quality. I would have preferred an adjustable waist. It is shaped like a bag and does not look like the tight-fitting dress Annie wore in the movie. Also, the dress in the movie has little black lines around the white. My daughter immediately noticed the difference and declared this was "not an Annie" costume, but again, it was the best I could find.
