Meh...
I purchased this from Amazon for my daughter who is six, and the small (4-6) is HUGE on her and would easily fit an eight year old - she is also quite tall for her age, so keep that in mind. She can wear it, but it will drag (a lot) on the floor/ground while she is wearing it, especially the dress portion.
The "wig" is complete crap and completely unwearable. The actual net is oddly shaped and doesn't fit properly on her head and when it is on the hair sits oddly, and looks completely unnatural, not at all like the photo. Not to mention that if you don't leave the hood up ALL THE TIME, the "wig" makes your child look like a creepy old man wearing a hairnet.
The gloves make her fingers look like shrivvled albino sausages, but I can live with that. She is supposed to be dead, after all.
The costume itself is a nice smooth material that will be comfortable for hours of wear, as long as she isn't tripping on it.
All in all, I would not buy...

I looked for a couple weeks locally to find a ghost costume that didn't cover her face, and when I found this I didn't' think she was going to like it. But in the end it turned out to be the best costume, she loved it and it fit just as expected. It was everything I had hoped it would be!
