My son was "Ramsey the sheep" in a recent church Christmas play. He wore this over a long sleeved white top and white long pants. My son is very tall and lanky for his age. We took a chance that this would fit him, even though I think it's made for younger kids. He did squeeze into it and looked just fine! And then we donated it to the church costume box for the next time they are doing something with sheep.

I usually make my kids' costumes, but the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. My daughter, a gymnast, said she wanted to be a Ninja for Halloween and she wanted me to buy the costume. I thought it was such a great idea I ordered right away. The costume was the typical cheap costume fabric and had that funny costume smell. The mask was pathetic. She wouldn't wear either and we made her a nerd instead. Oh well, I actually think it would have looked pretty good and fit well for a one-night-stand.* We ordered fans and Chinese shoes to complete the outfit from other companies that were of MUCH higher quality and MUCH more reasonably priced. It's just a shame this was a waste. We learned a lesson about store bought costumes.

I think that this costume looks NOTHING like the cute picture. The costume is actually very ugly. It came all wrinkled up too and you can't iron it because of the material (it states that right on the tag). I spend a lot of money for that...not cool. My 7 year old daughter wore this dress to school as a costume for Laura Ingalls. We orderd the size small (6-8) and it worked well. The sizing is generous, we actually needed to hem it so that it wouldn't drag on the ground (my daughter is 50th percentie for height for her age). I purchased this outfit as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. Seeing that she really wanted a cowgirl outfit, she couldn't wait to put it on. Unfortunately, the metal wire that give the brim shape just about put her eye out because it hat ripped through the flimsy material. This runs small, so buy a bigger size. It's very cheaply made and I had to sew in additional Velcro to get the back closed right. My kid loves it and if he ruins it, who cares, it was so cheap.Company a nightmare to deal with
When tried to return/exchange this item, which was poorly sewn and made of cheap/scratchy fabric, company was less than nice to work with and did not appear to understand the concept of costumer service. My almost 11 year old daughter picked this out and we both couldn't be more pleased. Very nice detailing, good quality material. She looks absolutely adorable in it. As with most costumes we ordered up a size. She's going on 11 (Dec.) is average height, athletic build and the Large fits her well. The Medium would have probably been too tight & short. This costume was made well and seamed true to size. I had to make some alterations on it for my grand daughter because she was on the low side of the sizing. The maribou was easy to take off of the hem so I could shorten it. I also added elastic inside at the waist to bring the crotch up a bit. I just made a casing out of the seam that was there already and ran some elasric through it. If she wants to wear it again next year it won't be hard to reverse the changes I made.
