We bought this for my 8 year old to use for the pirate party on a Disney Cruise. Not only did my daughter love it because it looked cool without looking too girlie but she was stopped over and over again by strangers telling her what a great costume she had. I will admit though that I did not use the pants that came with it - I just used a pair of cheap black leggings that we picked up at a local department store, though I'm sure the ones that came with it would have been fine.
Over all I'm VERY please with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tough girl pirate costume.
Perfect, if your child is into Pirates of the Caribbean
You only get one chance to get the perfect Halloween outfit for a child who is into Pirates of the Caribbean. I didn't like the feminine "damsel in distress" costumes that were available. I gave this to my god-daughter and she loved it. Of course, she accessorized it with an eye patch.
Cute but flimsy
I got this for my daughter to wear for dress up because my husband and I are going to the Gasparilla parade. It is cute and she loves it, but it is already coming apart at one of the seams in the vest.
